This is a drawing I had done about 25 years ago. It was just done in pencil. Nothing fancy. It is one of my favorites. I still think he has the most beautiful eyes! Don't you?
You are right - Pete has the most compelling eyes. They go well with his compelling soul...
The drawing is excellent. I find it fun to draw what I like best.
I have found that the eyes on a human face are most difficult to capture. Most of my past drawings have been scenery & horses. Pete was my second human portrait ever, done about a year & a half ago.
Thanks for sharing. I'll try to post another drawing, too.
...She told me that she liked art, but that she couldn't draw a straight line I told her if she could reach for something and pick it up, she could draw a line straight enough She said she weren't interested in that kind of drawing But had always liked horses I said I did too, but they were hard to draw She said yes, that was very true Said she could do the body okay But never get the head, tail or legs I told her she was drawing sausages, not horses She said no, they were horses...

Hello!!! What a lovely drawing!!! I agree with you, his eyes are beautiful....You are a great artist.. I'm glad that you liked my mother's paintings, thank you very much :):):)
I just thought I'd pop by & let you know that Henrietta is doing much betta!
I was really quite afraid she wasn't going to make it. I know that you love animals, especially cats, so I thought I'd let you know the encouraging news.
Hi Zoe, thanks for checking my blog. Kind words for my doggie again. I can tell you are a big animal lover! Me too. Hope all is well in your world. x Grace
Thanks for visiting my blog. I'd like to see some more of your artwork. You show me yours & I'll show you some more of mine... LOL
BTW how many cats do you have now? Any more strays? Did I tell you that our cat adopted us about 8 years ago? We had no say in the matter - he just moved in. Great cat, though, more like a dog in some of the things he does.
Zoe, I think that's a great drawing, and yes the man has amazing eyes. I think they are his most striking feature, and personally, his wonderful nose is the right scale for them. I am quite useless at drawing, so I do appreciate seeing other people's talents.
I am originally from Chicago but moved to NC about 10 years ago. I am an animal lover and am currently involved in managing a feral/stray cat colony.
Music is my second love. It helps keep me sane!

Yay for the Men's Curling Team!
I missed the game, but did hear on the radio when they were up 6 points in the 6th end.
I also heard when they won.
Canada now has 20 medals.
