Away From Home

It has been 5 days since I have seen my outside kitties.
I am away in Sweden and will not be back for another week and a half.
I miss seeing them. But I know that they are being taken care of.
I cannot wait until I am back home in my yard with my own dogs and the outside kitties.

This is Ethel and Fred

Fred(orange cat) is about 1 and a half years old. He is neutered and has had his rabies shot.
He likes to lay around on my back poarch with his other siblings and mother.
Ethel(tortie) is about 2 and a half give or take.
She was very hard to trap but she was eventually caught this past spring. She was spayed and had her shots.
Ethel still does not come near me when I am out. She runs whenever any of us comes outside.

Lefki

This is Little Girl. Her other name is Lefki. Which means white in Greek.
She is the smallest and most timid of the group.

This is Martha

This is Martha. She is a 2 year old female that was born under an out building on my property.
I trapped her last year and had her spayed. She pretty much stays in the woods at night. She will come to the edge when it is time to eat. She will only come near me when I feed them
Most of her siblings are gone. The only one that is still outside with her is her sister Georgia. Her other sister Patches has become one of my inside cats. And her brother Snowball lives in Sweden.
Martha was named after the Beatle song "Martha My Dear". Whenever I hear it, I think of her.

This is Jack

This is the first day of my blog. I have been managing a feral cat colony for a little over 2 years. I will be posting the everyday lives of the cats that I take care of. Some days there will be not much to tell. And other days may be packed with stories.
As of today, the cats that are present and accounted for are:

4.)Ethel
5.)Georgia
6.)Fred
7.)The other Fred
8.)Brother
9.)Lefki(aka Little Girl)
10)Olivia

There were more but they probably died as they are wild and wander the woods where they live behind my property.
I will be back on Monday. No posts on the weekends as I am at work 15 hours each day.
