Purple Rachel

This is the first portrait I have done since I got my new glasses. I don't know if they are working properly. This picture looks much better in person. I am kind of hesitant posting this, and I may have to do more to it. I think the eyes may need more work. Tell me what you think.

I think you're selling yourself short- it's quite nice here too. I really like the eye.

Good work!

Hi Zoe,

I for one think this is good. I think you're particularly good with eyes. Perhaps you're being too hard on yourself - which is of course the artist's right.

Hi greekzoe!!!

This is lovely!!! I think it's really difficult to get the expression on a portrait, and you got it...those eyes are wonderful!
Well done!!

Dear Zoe

I was over the other evening to comment on lovely Rachel!

...but my computer went down & lost the post.

She's beautiful!

I love your use of colour - I'm not very good at colour in my artwork. That is one thing that I should work on.
Although, my kids have a HUGE container of crayola crayons (the best) & I love creating with them.

I am going to post one of my only colour pieces that I did many years ago.

Thanks for posting your Rachel.

Love
Dale

Thanks so much Dale! And yes I would love to see your colored drawing. I had no intention of using color on this but I had some mistakes in the background that I had to cover up. Color works wonders!

Elena, Maria, and Marietta, Thankyou too for your kind words. This is the first portrait I have done in many many years. I would love to send it to Rachel but I don't know if she would like it.
I have to think about it.

Hi Zoe!

What a beautiful drawing of Rachel!! She is stunning isn't she?
I wish I could draw like that. Wow!

Thanks for your kind word on my blog regarding my parents accident. It's nice to be cared for, and it's strange what a few line sof encouragement can do.

Thansk again.

I have to say also; what a lovely thing you do for cats. I lovecats myself, and I have one. Her name is Shira, and she is my "baby"

Take care!

Hi Zoe,
I thought your post on Dale's blog was sweet; I loved reading about putting water with the fish so they could swim in the next life. I am in awe of the kindness and thoughtfulness of children. :)

I see you put a title to your artwork. We all knew it was Rachel, and I'm glad that others are complimenting you as well. It's well deserved.

Cheers,

I, too, was touched by your comment about the fish funeral. Thanks.
Our little Chicken Nugget has been safely returned to the earth/water.

My new post today is a very old piece of artwork.
